The Spring MPH Internship Conference will be held this Friday, April 8, from 12:00pm – 5:00pm. The internship conference is where students present on their experiences with their MPH internships, which is the culmination of hundreds of hours of their hard work. This semester, between the Tucson and Phoenix campuses, over 80 students will be presenting on their internship projects. Please come to support these students. This conference is also a great way for current graduate students who are not presenting to come and see what the internship presentation will be like. The event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to invite their friends and family members.
The topic for this semester’s conference is Gender and Sexual Diversity: An Integrated Approach to LGBTQIA+ Health and Wellness. We are honored to feature a keynote address by Dr. Chad Mosher, Program Coordinator at the Living Out Loud Health & Wellness Center located here in Tucson. Chad has nearly 20 years of experience in promoting social justice and psychological wellbeing in the LGBTQIA+ community.
Registration begins at 11:30am outside of the south entrance to Drachman Hall, room B111. The keynote will begin at 12:00pm in B111, followed by student presentations at 1:00pm throughout the first floor of Drachman Hall, building A. A reception will follow in the Walkway of Wellness.
We hope to see you all there!
